This policy covers the WiFi Scanner desktop application for Windows and
macOS, and this website (go.wifiscanner.com). Plain language, no surprises.
What the application collects
Your scan data stays on your machine. Networks, signal readings, floor plans, survey
projects and reports are stored locally on your computer and are not uploaded to us.
- License activation: when you activate a license, the email address on the license and an
anonymous installation identifier are sent to our licensing service so your purchase can be
verified and your license managed.
- Nothing else runs in the background. The application does not collect browsing history,
files, or personal documents, and includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
What this website collects
- Trial and contact forms: the details you type (name, email address, and optionally phone,
company, team size and what you're trying to do) so we can send your download link, discount
code and a short series of getting-started emails (every email includes an unsubscribe link).
- Advertising measurement: if you arrived from an ad, the ad platform's click identifier. If
you later start a trial or make a purchase, we report that conversion to Google Ads using a
one-way hashed (SHA-256) form of your email address (never the plain address) so we can tell
which advertising works. Google's use of this data is described in Google's own privacy policy.
- Anonymous page counters: we count how many times each page is viewed. These are plain
counters: no profile, no per-visitor tracking, no third-party tracking cookies.
- Browser storage: we use localStorage to remember, for up to 30 days, which page brought
you here. You can clear it any time in your browser settings.
Payments and licensing
Purchases are processed by Stripe; your card number goes to Stripe, not to us. Licenses are
managed by our licensing system, which stores the license email and key. We use
Amazon Web Services to run this site and store form submissions (retained for about one year, then
deleted automatically), and a CRM to follow up on sales inquiries.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share it with anyone except the service providers named above, and only for the
purposes described here.
- We do not send you marketing on behalf of third parties.
Your choices
Email sales@accessagility.com to unsubscribe from
emails, ask what information we hold about you, or have it corrected or deleted. We answer these
ourselves; there is no form to fight through.
